Members of the Rock Lake Improvement Association are invited to attend the annual meeting to be held Saturday, August 16, at 10 a.m. at Lower Rock Lake County Park at the north end boat launch. Find out about lake issues, give us your input on issues that concern you, and find out how you can help the organization.
Guest speaker will be Susan Graham, Department of Natural Resources Water Resources Management Specialist, who will talk on various lake issues. An update will be given on what is being done to implement the Management Plan for Rock Lake. Topics include permanent storm drain labeling, youth and adult education, and invasive species. Other topics will include water quality, county lake-related projects, President’s report, lake ordinance enforcement, and other current lake issues. Members are welcome to ask questions and give feedback.
Officers and board members will be elected at the meeting. Nominations are welcome and may be made at the meeting, but to have your name printed on the ballot, please email us.
You are welcome to invite friends and neighbors who may want to become members of RLIA. Memberships are $25 for family, $15 for individual, and $50 for corporate. Dues and donations are tax deductible. Non-members can join the RLIA and then participate in discussions and elections. We hope to see all of you at the annual meeting.
Educational materials will be on display and handouts will be available. Rock Lake tee shirts will be for sale.
