WHERE CAN I SEE WHAT

THE KORTH PARK PRAIRIE WILL LOOK LIKE?

There are many prairies in the area you can go and see. We suggest the new Tillitson Prairie, property of the Audubon Society, on Prairie Lane off of Highway G north of Lake Mills. This prairie can give you a glimpse of what Korth Park might look like five years after it gets planted. Snapper Prairie, Nature Conservancy land, is further north on G. Even Aztalan Park can give you an idea of a prairie landscape.

WHAT TYPE OF PRAIRIE
IS KORTH PARK GOING TO BE?

There are many types of prairies such as: wet, wet-mesic,mesic,dry-mesic,dry, and sand prairies. There are also oak savannas. Due to the diverse glacial landscape, Korth Park will have all of these types of prairies except sand and dry prairies.
