The Lake Management account is now closed.
Correspondence:
WAL has asked for support in its opposition to the amendments now attached to SB 197, the phosphorus-ban bill. Milt will send a letter to legislators, signing it on behalf of RLIA’s 155 households.
Dave Marshall’s letter in opposition to AB 297, which weakens regulation of piers, was discussed. While RLIA agrees with Dave, action on it was postponed until after the legislative calendar is looked at.
Joint Committee:
Tom Pezzi has joined. Stan and Tom will relay to Ed Grunden our agreement with his concern about dumping excess snow at the Mill Pond.
Joint Committee now has link on Town website.
DNR is compelling City to do a study of the dam.
With Mike Orcutt leaving the committee, a new town member is needed.
RLIA looks forward to working with Joint Committee to generate a groundswell of support, involvement and enthusiasm for accomplishing the Lake Management plan goals.
